Duomatic S and Duomatic 80 classes

  • Introduction
This is a series of six lessons for the users of the Passap Duomatic (‘Pinky’ or ‘Green Machine’) double bed machines. Completion of this course is a prerequisite for any of the following modules.
  • Accessories
Accessories can make knitting more interesting, quicker and enjoyable.
    • Deco
The Deco is the patterning device for the Duomatics that uses a punchcard system to select the pushers to perform the patterning. This is how to get the most out of your Deco.
    • Transfer Lock
There are several versions of the transfer lock; U70, U80, U100, and U100E. The U70 is the most basic and will work on all the 5mm gauge machines. It transfers all stitches from one bed to the other. The U80, U100 and U100E all transfer stitches as per the U70 and has the additional functionality of using pushers to transfer selected stitches from one bed to another. The U100E is for the E6000 but can be used on Duomatic machines.
    • AutoColor
The AutoColor is an automatic color changer that holds four individual yarns and changes yarns in a preset sequence. It is intended to make changing yarns easier while using the motor but can be used while knitting manually.
    • Motor
There are several motors available for the Duomatic machines from the Electra through to the Electra 4600. All of the motors will work on all of the machines, except the Electra 4000 series, which is for the E6000.
    • Form Computer
The Form Computer is an accessory that holds shape knitting programs. Each program allows you to knit a swatch, enter the swatch data into your chosen program and provides stitch, row and shaping instructions to knit the chosen shape.
    • Forma
The Forma is a charting device that allows a diagram to be converted to stitches and rows as the shape is knitted, based on the swatch using the stitch and yarn desired.
